Featuring author Randall Cannon presenting a fast lap through the history of early professional motorsports in southern Nevada, a history that began decades before Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Moderator Mark Hall-Patton, Clark County Museums Administrator joined library administrators Marcie Smedley and Mark McGinty told the history of Henderson’s library including how it formed and changed over the years and spoke about plans for its future. Robyn Campbell Ouchida and Colleen Brown shared memories from the perspective of a student worker, a City Clerk both of whom later served on the Library Board.
Mark Hall-Patton moderated and former HHNews owner/editor Tim O’Callaghan, writer/photographer Aaron Mayes and writer D. J. Allen told the history of the late, great, Henderson Home News.
Stories of the old mine, its role in war and peace as told by Mark Hall-Patton, Don Wilson, Richard Millick and Mike King. Patton told the history of the mine from the WWI era through the Korean War.
