Candidates Night: Meet and greet Henderson candidates running for public office. This will be an opportunity for Henderson residents to learn about the candidates and for candidates to better understand the needs and interests of voters.

Water in our Valley: A Follow-up on the HHS program of February 2015. Guest speakers of 2015 were John Entsminger, Southern Nevada Water Authority and John Tenert, City of Henderson. They discussed the history of water management in the region and envisioned future water needs and related issues. The November, 2023 speakers will focus on the progress made in meeting our water needs and in solving problems that continue to challenge present day water resource managers.

History of Sky Harbor: Learn the names and hear the stories of the early aviation visionaries and leaders of Henderson and Southern Nevada who founded the small airport and expanded this resource to the great enterprise that it is today. What does the future hold in store for Henderson’s old Sky Harbor?

History of Railroad Pass: Join the Henderson Historical Society, Historian Mark Hall-Patton speaking on the great historic venue “History of Railroad Pass” and meet the owner, Joe DeSimone.

Location: Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino, 1500 Railroad Pass. It’s just a few miles up Boulder Hwy in Henderson. Event location in Desimone Steak House at Railroad Pass Casino

Pioneer Days/ Industrial Days: Join the HHS for our annual celebration that remembers Henderson’s pioneer families at the time of the year when community always celebrated Industrial Days. The Historical Society will report on the past year’s achievements and layout our plans for the coming year. The event will be held at the Eagle’s Hall where old-timers tell their stories and old-time photos will abound.

Location: Eagles Hall, 310 West Pacific, Time: Doors open 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
