Henderson Speaks Events
All aboard!
Join Henderson Historical Society and Nevada Preservation Foundation at the Boulder City Railroad Museum for an unforgettable ride through Henderson’s railroad history. Step onto a historic, century-old locomotive with esteemed historian “Museum Guy” Mark Hall-Patten as your guide. A longtime champion of preserving Nevada’s history, Mark has served as the Museum Administrator for the Clark County Museum system. During this 45-minute trip from Boulder City to Paradise Hills, you’ll be regaled with tales of a bygone area, when trains ruled the West, and the Las Vegas Valley was nothing more than a tiny reprieve in the middle of the vast, dusty Mojave.
The Boulder City Railroad Museum preserves train equipment dating back to the 1930s, when the Boulder Train Line played a critical role in constructing Hoover Dam. Arrive early to explore the impressive historic locomotives on display, and take time before or after the ride to enjoy the museum’s exhibits, displays, and historic railcars.
AS A BONUS: All attendees will receive a coupon for The Railroad Pass good for 20% off at The Bullet Train or Joe De Simone steakhouse, and two for one drinks.
